This is a good book and if I were reading it several years ago (say the sixties or seventies) I would give it a 4 or a 5 star. Unfortunately some of Trueblood's material is years out of date. This is a hazard in trying to be relevant to one's culture--the scandle of the particular.
His thoughts on Church are right on, but, wereas he sees the Church needing to try certain things to improve, we can see how the Church has indeed tried (or is trying) in some of these endevours and fallen into the other ditch. Aside from the issue of dating, though, this book comes recommended.
